Okay, so I’m loving the beta, but spending countless days wasting my limited Starsea Voyage Batteries trying to re-find the Cactus Isle to no avail was, understandably, frustrating. So, I’m going to share my wisdom and tell you where I found Cactus Fibers in Petit Planet, and what important step you MUST take when you finally find them.

Let’s get into it.

As a general note before reading on, this guide was first written during the second Beta, meaning some information may change and become outdated as the full game rolls out.

Where I Found Cactus Fibers in Petit Planet

Firstly, I chose the Taffeh Planet system, so I’m not sure whether Hexia players will be able to follow this guide to find their own Cactus Fibres. Either way, I hope I can be helpful.

I found Cactus Fibers in the Taffeh Starsea Shallows – Uncharted Bay 2, they were on the Islet to my immediate right when entering the gate, on Cactus Isle.

I’m under the impression that each Starsea is unique to the player, not the planetary system, so your Cactus Isle may not be on the right, but instead somewhere else in these shallows.

To unlock this area, you need to find Lucadrops on the Islets by completing puzzles and searching for them when venturing around these micro-biomes. It costs 10 Lucadrops to unlock the gate leading to Uncharted Bay 2, meaning you’ll need to complete several days’ worth of ventures to reach it.

When You Find Cactus Fibers

Now this is super important, and not something I knew about until embarrassingly late, but you can use your shovel to unearth the Cactus Trees and take them back to your planet and farm them from there.

This is a lifesaver, as it means you don’t need to waste any battery on relocating the Islet whenever you need Cactus Fibers, and it’s also a huge time-saver overall.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What are Cactus Fibers used for?
  • Primarily crafting, though the main use of them is for the Harpeno House Upgrades. Her first questline requires a furniture piece that consists of Cactus Fibers, and her home cosmetic upgrade also requires Cactus Fibers to complete.
• Are there other ways aside from Islets where I can get Cactus Fibers?
  • You could potentially get some through the market stalls posted on other players’ planets. Players can sell up to x5 of the same item per slot each day, and set the Dough price themselves. I recommend visiting the official Petit Planet Discord if you want to try your luck at buying them.
• Does it ruin Islet Vitality to take the Cactus Trees?
  • Yes, but I think this is a necessary evil. I also recommend always buying out the Islet pop-up stalls of any new seed type you find, as trees and flowers can be hard to come by when you need them most for the neighbour stories and main questlines.
