Here, I rank each Lure, including their buffs, to give you a performance idea and a chance to window-shop your ideal Lure.

    Catch Bugs Lure Tier List

    This Tier is up to date as of May 7th, 2026.

    S-TIER

    The most beneficial Lures, which apply universally excellent buffs to your Net, including multiplier chances, speed, and the rest.

    • Crystal Lure
      • +35% Speed, +75% EXP Boost, 2.3x Mutation chance, and a 1 in 30 chance to apply the Crystalise Mutation.
    • Cherry Blossom
      • +40% Speed, +110% EXP Boost, 2.9x Mutation chance, and +50% EXP at Blossomwing during night.
    • Dark Shuriken
      • +35% Speed, +100% EXP Boost, 2.8x Mutation chance, and the chance to apply Evil 10x as often.
    • Area 51
      • +35% Speed, +75% EXP Boost, 2.3x Mutation chance, and a 1 in 20 chance to apply the Extraterrestrial Mutation (1.5x).

    A-TIER

    Great alternatives if you can’t afford or unlock the top tier, or need to hunt for something specific, such as a certain mutation.

    • Lucky
      • +214% Luck.
    • Venom
      • +45% Speed, +80% EXP Boost, and a 2.7x Mutation chance.
    • Dark Matter
      • +25% Speed, +50% Luck, and a 2x Mutation chance.
    • Solar
      • +30% Speed, +60% EXP Boost, and a +15% Net Strength (Daytime).

    B-TIER

    Decent, these all-rounders buff your Net, and are good to bridge the gap between the mid and late-game.

    • Quasar
      • +20% Speed, +35% EXP Boost, and a 1.5x Mutation chance.
    • Snake Eye
      • +20% Speed, +30% EXP Boost, and a 1.3x Mutation chance.
    • Diamond
      • +15% Speed, +25% EXP Boost, and +50% chance for heavier catches.
    • Sandstorm
      • +25% Speed, +50% EXP Boost, and a 1 in 20 chance for the Barren Mutation.

    C-TIER

    Good early-game upgrades, which help discover new species and improve your Net quality.

    • VIP
      • +10% Speed, +20% EXP Boost, and a 1.5x Mutation chance.
    • Fire
      • +10% Speed and a 1 in 20 chance for the Infernal Mutation.
    • Radioactive
      • +25% EXP Boost and a 1 in 20 chance for Radioactive Mutation.
    • Lightning
      • +20% Speed and a 1 in 20 chance for the Electrified Mutation.

    D-TIER

    Very early-game Lures. Those here aren’t good after the first steps to familiarity.

    • Basic Light
      • +64% Luck and +25% Speed.

    • Which is the best Lure for luck?
      • This may be obvious, but the Lucky lure applies the highest Luck boost of +214%. Of course, this heavily relies on your Net already having an affinity for Luck. For example, a Net with 20 Luck increased by 214% is only 62.8. The larger the number, the better this stat.
    • How do I equip Lures?
      • Select the Net button from the bottom hotbar, then press Lure from the category list. From here, scroll through your options and equip. Your Lure will automatically sync with your Net, even when equipping a different one.
