Twin Shot Deluxe Is a Nitrome Classic Out Now on Steam

The Angel Cats are back on PC! In fact, they’re also coming to Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS later. It’s Twin Shot Deluxe, a remake of two of Nitrome’s most iconic Flash games. Technically, it’s a platform arcade shooter where you defend your homeland using bows and arrows.

Twin Shot Deluxe is a revamped version for modern gaming

The game has 50 brand new levels themed around Atlantis, while the 150 levels from the Flash games have been entirely remade. And it also includes the 150 original layouts. There’s a bunch of new skins and power-ups as well.

Running at 60 fps (the original ran at 20 fps), Twin Shot Deluxe is set across four worlds. You can play solo or with friends in local co-op, which allows up to 4 players. Or you can also go competitive to prove you’re the best Angel Cat in the room.

They also brought back Cheats and Treats, which is a big pile of unlockables and modifiers. You can spend loot on skins, weapons, health options, music tracks, and even goofy stuff like Tag mode, Fart mode, or making your character giant.

The Tag mode lets you shoot other players to steal a hat and turn the game into a frantic cat-and-mouse situation. Speaking of hats, they actually give you buffs. Some other weird additions include a giant enemy Colossus who you can actually climb.

Will you give it a shot?

Twin Shot Deluxe offers complete controller and keyboard support. The original tracks are back, but now uncompressed and crystal clear. It also includes new music from the original composer, Dave Cowen.

If you like Bubble Bobble-style platformers, you can check out Twin Shot Deluxe on Steam for PC. Also, take a look at the game right here before you leave.
