Completing the Battening Down quest in Arc Raiders took me longer than I expected. Usually I'm pretty good at sussing out locations, but one in particular, the leaking oil pipe you have to repair, is actually very hard to find. While you get directions pointing you towards the correct pipeline, no parts of it are visibly leaking, so it's hard to be sure until you find the spot.

You also have to photograph the seal wall and sample some seaweed, but those parts are much easier. All that said, here's how to complete Battening Down in the new Riven Tides update.

Photograph the cracks forming in the sea wall

Depending on where you spawn, you might want to do these in a different order, but photographing the sea wall and fixing the oil pipe are quite close to each other. For this one, you'll want to head to the Wavebreaker sea wall location in the northeast—I was able to take a picture at the southern end of the far left strut you can see sticking out on the map.

Usually with these photo-based objectives, there are multiple locations you can snap it, so I imagine you can take the pic on the south end of any of the Wavebreaker struts that run north to south.

Fix the leaking oil pipe in the northeast

Now, head northeast across the Wavebreaker to the big partially buried pipeline. This one is easy to spot since it's the rightmost pipeline and is the only intact one. Head to the southern end, where it meets the sea wall, then follow the leftmost pipe north until you hit the yellow interact icon to fix it.

This one took me a while since the section of the pipe you repair isn't visibly leaking at all—it just looks like a pipe, frankly. Interact to fix it and you're all done here.

Sample the shoreline near the hotel beach

Once that's done, head west to the Azzurro Beach, just north of the Hotel Panorama Azzurro. You'll find a little area with a pier and a load of sunloungers and torn parasols, but you need to head north a little way to the shoreline, keeping your eye out for piles of seaweed.

When Apollo says "sample" the shoreline, he literally means you need to sample some seaweed, so look for a pile and interact with the yellow marked icon to scan it. With all three done, that's the quest complete.
