Bridger Western Spin Requirements and Gyro Spawn Locations

You can find all the Bridger Western Spin Requirements in this guide, including why Gyro Zepelli might not want to speak with you. Spin is a Speciality weapon in Bridger Western, and overwrites all regular weapons.

Bridger Western Spin Requirements

To obtain Spin, you need to meet the requirements first, which admittedly, will take a while. Plus, you need a ton of Moola.

All Spin Requirements

There are six steps to complete when unlocking Spin. Bear in mind that you cannot speak with Gyro Zepelli if your character is over 40 years old. Quite rude of him if I do say so myself.

Task 1

  • Find swirling spirals around the map, which should be glowing, and then touch them
    • You must interact with them once they are glowing

Task 2

  • Locate the Gyro NPC and speak with him
    • There are multiple potential spawn locations, including:
      • Standing by a tree nearby to Ringo’s Cabin
      • The wall where you find the Spin Phenomenon
      • The abandoned church building
    • Requirements to speak with him:
      • Your character must be below 40 years old
      • You need to earn ‘Battle Hardened’, which requires at least 100 kills

Task 3

  • Get a kill streak of 15 to 20 at the Red Corner Fight Club before resetting

Task 4

  • Head back to the Gyro NPC to let him know about your progress

Task 5

  • Defeat the Duelist NPC to obtain the Duelist’s Mark
    • The Duelist NPC usually spawns around Ringo’s Cabin, but can appear elsewhere
    • This is classed as a ‘Rare Encounter’, which means it has a 10% to 20% chance of replacing a normal encounter

Task 6

  • Purchase Spin from the Gyro NPC for 25K Moola

Here’s a fun fact: when you reach the maximum proficiency for Spin, Gyro offers his famous grills for 2K Moola. You can increase your proficiency and mastery by frequently charging the Spin bar.

When and Where Does Gyro Spawn?

There can only be one Gyro NPC on each server at a time, and he has a 1 in 100 chance of spawning. Mysterious server-wide messages start to appear on your screen, letting you know that Gyro may be about to spawn. Once he appears, he despawns after 5 minutes.

As for where he spawns, that’s a little more complicated. As I mentioned quickly above in the Spin Requirements section, there are multiple possible locations. While he can spawn near buildings, it’s much more common for him to be found in the forest, swamp, and behind trees.

About Spin

When equipping Spin, your primary and secondary guns are replaced. Thankfully, you still have access to your Stand.

Moves

  • Throw the right ball
    • Left mouse button
  • Throw a left ball
    • Right mouse button
  • Throw both the right and left balls simultaneously
    • T key
  • Charging the Spin bar
    • Z key
  • Cycle through the four modes: Curving, Straight, Recochetting, Drilling
    • E and R keys

As you improve your Spin mastery (also known as proficiency), your overall consumption when using Spin is reduced, and the charging speed is increased. You can charge the Spin bar much quicker whilst on horseback, but you must be travelling at a high speed.

If you decide that you don’t want Spin anymore, you can visit the Mud Witch’s Hut in the swamp. Here, you need to use a Dogbane Herb to get rid of it.

Later down the line, if you feel like you made a mistake and you want Spin back, you only need to pay the 25K Moola again, instead of going through all the required tasks.
