The short answer is no, marriage is not an option in Starsand Island. Instead, there is the Moving In feature, which is ultimately the final level of the romantic relationship progression. Once you reach 5 Hearts with a romanceable character, you can ask them to move into your house.
The full release of Starsand Island is set for Summer 2026, and in the game’s official Discord server, there was an announcement detailing that there will be updates to the dating feature. This could include marriage, perhaps? We’ll have to wait patiently until then.
I know that a few players are a little disappointed regarding the overall depth of the characters right now. But I’m sure this will be fixed in future updates. There’s also the fact that the Romance feature isn’t exactly present in the Early Access version of Starsand Island, though those who played the demo were able to try it out.
By interacting with romanceable characters every day, and generally just being kind to them by helping them out, your Affection Level increases. Starsand Island is currently available in Early Access, which means there’s more content to be added to the game in the future. However, could marriage become a feature in these updates? As of right now, I’m not sure.
It would be nice, but it’s definitely not the be-all and end-all. I quite like the Move In feature; it’s similar to Stardew Valley in that way. I was always super happy when I got Abigail or Sebastian to move into my abode.
