The 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii kicks off Thursday, January 15, with the opening round at Waialae Country Club. You can find full Sony Open tee times for Thursday’s first round at the bottom of this post.
Thursday marks the start of the new PGA Tour season, and Collin Morikawa is hoping it jumpstarts a return to form.
The two-time major champion had a down year in 2025 by his lofty standards, failing to win a PGA Tour event. While his career win total is stuck at six, last season wasn’t all bad news for Morikawa. He earned two runner-up finishes and eventually settled for T19 in the final FedEx Cup standings.
Morikawa, who played on the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team, will have plenty of familiar company at the Sony Open. Teammates J.J. Spaun, Russell Henley and Ben Griffin are also in the field, as is U.S. Ryder Cup captain and World No. 14 Keegan Bradley.
Morikawa will get his season started on Thusday at 12:43 p.m. ET alongside Spaun and Adam Scott.
