Let’s take a look at some of the best upcoming horror games in 2026, as long as there are no delays…
Which horror games are we looking forward to?

Resi fans like myself are eagerly waiting for the release of the latest entry. Play as Grace Ashcroft, an intelligence analyst for the FBI, as she buries herself in her own personal investigation.
Resident Evil Requiem is a classic survival horror, elevated to be the most immersive title in the franchise so far. With puzzles, high-stakes combat, collecting and managing survival resources, and new terrifying creatures to face, this game is a must for fans of RE titles, new and old.

While it’s not a ‘new’ game, it’s an exciting remake of a classic 2003/2004 title. If you’ve played the game before, you’ll know what to expect, but I’m sure it’ll have a new modern twist with upgraded mechanics, controls, and graphics.
It’s a great way for those wanting to get into the Fatal Frame franchise to finally give it a go! As we horror fans know, it’s tricky to get access to older titles without paying an arm and a leg.

A new indie horror is coming soon! While it’s a horror, it also combines the RPG and farming sim genres together, with a sprinkle of romance. Think Stardew Valley but… scary.
You arrive in Ashenridge, a somewhat scenic town that isn’t what it seems. Peace soon shatters as numerous murders begin happening. While you go about the usual farming sim tasks, there’s a terrifying secret being held at bay. Just who is this serial killer? When you have spare time, you decide to investigate the mystery in search of clues.

While we wait for the remake of Silent Hill 1, we can enter Doll Town. As you explore a cursed village, dolls are wandering around, and though they look like real humans, they are anything but.
Inspired by Silent Hill, especially with the ‘It’s Bread’ reference (a classic Silent Hill 3 meme), Welcome to Doll Town is set to be an atmospheric indie title with gloomy visuals, creepy dollhouses, and familiar survival horror-style puzzles to solve.

From the creators of Little Nightmares I and Little Nightmares II, REANIMAL ramps up the scares in this new horror adventure. With mechanics brought over from Little Nightmares, and all-around similarly nostalgic vibe (nostalgic for a game that came out in 2017… I’m getting old), it’s exciting to see what Tarsier Studios has cooked up.
Two siblings are in search of their missing friends as they try to escape the island. By exploring on land and getting around on a boat, you need to keep an eye out for terrifying enemies, cracks and crevices where you can hide, and shadows to shroud yourself in.
