Because Stone is the most common ore in the game, you’d think it was the easiest to get, right? Apparently, a large number of players are struggling to get it right now.
When mining in The Forge, there is a 1 in 1 chance of getting Stones. Only the Pebble rocks drop Stones, which are the easiest rocks to break with any pickaxe, even the one you start with.
Pebbles spawn in Stonewake’s Cross only, so this is the only location where you can get Stone. Luckily, Pebbles respawn pretty quickly.
So, why are players struggling to get this ore? Ironically, if you’re using a pickaxe with a high Luck stat and Mining Power stat, you’re more likely to get rarer ores rather than Stone. Of course, this isn’t always the case, but it does play a big part.
To counter this, you need to keep a weak pickaxe around, as this has a higher chance of only being able to get common ores, like Stone.
As I mentioned above, the Stone ore has a 1 in 1 chance of dropping when you break Pebbles, and is of the Common rarity. In fact, it’s one of the most common ores in the entire game.
It’s not entirely valuable, as it sells for 3 Gold and has a multiplier of only 0.2x. However, I’ve found that using Stone in your earlier forge recipes makes it much easier to craft new weapons and armor, which you can either equip or sell for Gold.
If you’ve progressed a fair way into the game, especially unlocking the Forgotten Kingdom, you don’t need to worry about Stone as much. Unless it’s for a quest or a specific forging recipe, it’s a pretty worthless ore.
