The Wishblossom Ranch expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley offers several new fish that players can catch for various purposes, including cooking new meals and completing quests. One of the new fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the Balloon Fish. Players will have to get Balloon Fish for various expansion quests, along with friendship quests for the new characters, and many other cooking recipes. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch Balloon Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
The Balloon Fish is one of the new common fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley, exclusive to the Wishblossom Ranch expansion. Players can get Balloon Fish by fishing in the White Ripples or in the open water (outside the ripples) in all the areas of the Pixie Acres biome. It is the third biome of Wishblossom Mountains and holds multiple areas. To access the Pixie Acres, the players must first unlock Khan, a special rideable mount with a kicking ability. Moreover, the players must reach Friendship Level 4 with Khan to break the Steel Barricades and access Pixie Acres.
There are four areas within Pixie Acres, including Sundae Shores, Hundred-Acre Fields, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls. Players need to look for white ripples (bubbles) at the fishing spots.
After reaching Pixie Acres and locating the White Ripples, equip the Royal Fishing Rod tool and cast the rod line inside the white bubbles. Now, complete the fishing mini-game to catch the Balloon Fish.
TIP: If you don’t find any White Ripples, start fishing in the Blue and Gold Ripples in the ponds to spawn a White one after some time. Moreover, it is best to bring a villager with the Fishing role to increase the overall yield.
If you are fishing in the open water, there is a high chance that you will catch Goose Feathers. Try for a couple more tries to catch the Balloon Fish from the open water.
The Balloon Fish is mainly used as a material for various crafting recipes. Moreover, it is a requirement in a couple of expansion quests. Other than that, players can sell it to Goofy for 60 Star Coins.
