The Demonite Key is a required item to open the door in the Volcanic Depths, leading you to the Demonic Pickaxe.
To start the quest for the Demonite Key, you first need to head into the Volcanic Depths. Once there, look for the NPC called Skal who has demon horns. After speaking with him, you unlock the Demonite Key Quest!

In short, you need to head into the Ruined Cave of the Forgotten Kingdom, look for the sign that says ‘DANGER’ and follow the pathway. A strong pickaxe is required to break the rocks blocking the entrance to the Volcanic Depths.
The Demonite Quest requires you to collect 3 Demonites to bring back to the NPC, Skall, in the Volcanic Depths. But how do you get Demonite in The Forge?
Demonite is an ore that you can only get by mining Volcanic Rocks. These rocks spawn in the Volcanic Depths! However, Demonite is a Mythical rarity ore with a 1 in 3,666 chance of dropping. Because of this, you should use a pickaxe with a high Luck stat!
Plus, to break these Volcanic Rocks, you need to use a pickaxe that has a Mining Power stat of at least 100.
Once you have 3 Demonite ores, you can head back to Skal in the Volcanic Depths. After handing them in, he rewards you with the Demonite Key, which you can then use to unlock the door to the Demonic Pickaxe!
