The First Descendant First-Half 2026 Roadmap Revealed

The team behind The First Descendant has unveiled the roadmap for the first half of 2026, focusing on expanding combat content, improving balance, and enhancing the overall farming loop to reinvent the core fun of the title.

Revealed during its recent livestream, the team behind The First Descendant is looking to reorganize the cycle from setting goals, ranging from farming to challenging endgame content.

This recent livesteam for The First Descendant also provided players a first glimpse of new content, including the new Breach Tracking. With this system in place, players will be able to take advantage of a wide gold-farming region, one where fields and missions rotate randomly – thereby reducing repetition.

The First Descendant players seeking high-intensity endgame action can also seek out its new Onslaught Mode. Set to provide a separate challenge, parties of four will be able to face waves of increasingly powerful enemies as they strategically place turrets and buffs from resources gained during battle.

Minseok Joo, Creative Director of The First Descendant, said the following:

“Beyond just adding more content, we’re taking community feedback to heart by expending the best elements of the game and reorganizing and rebuilding the core experience to make it more compelling and welcoming for players as the game enters its next phase.

As players reenter the world of The First Descendant, we hope they will discover a new vision of the game they knew.”

The First Descendant is now available for the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series X|S, and the PC via Steam.
