Old Braided Rope is one of the new crafting materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley, exclusive to the Wishblossom Ranch expansion. Players can get Old Braided Rope material by fishing in the open water around the Wishing Alps biome. It is the first biome of Wishblossom Mountains and holds multiple areas. Once you have access to the Wishing Alps biome, go to any fishing area and start fishing in the open water (no ripples).
Complete the fishing mini-game of reeling in the catch to have a chance of catching the Old Braided Rope. However, there are some common fish in the waters of Wishing Alps, so it might take you a few tries before you catch the Old Braided Rope. Moreover, make sure that your Royal Fishing Rod tool does not have any elixir/potion on it. Otherwise, you will catch fish often instead of Old Braided Rope in the open water.
Upon reeling the Old Braided Rope out of the water, you will find it in your inventory.
Old Braided Rope is a crafting material exclusive to the Wishblossom Ranch expansion. Players will need it for completing various quests, like Water Tower of Terror for Scrooge McDuck.
