While Absolvement Dungeons are a challenge, they’re well worth playing through. When making your way through a dungeon in Absolvement, you cannot progress to the next difficulty unless you beat one of the trickier enemies. These battles involve beating one of the Absolvement Bosses!
There are only two types of dungeons in Absolvement at this current time. The first is the Sanguine Citadel, and the second is the Glacier Hollow. You cannot choose which dungeon you want to explore, as they are chosen at random each time.
Every dungeon has enemies and bosses to defeat. But, there are also traps that you need to look out for! These traps include things like pitfalls, sending you plummeting down.
Make sure to keep an eye on the mini-map, as this is a great way of directing you throughout the dungeon. If you see a brown square on the mini-map, this is a door! The red squares represent stairs (or ladders) that take you to a higher floor. You can also spot Potential Orbs on the mini-map, too.
When interacting with a Potential Orb, you get three Potentials to choose from. You can only pick one to add to your build for this dungeon run. The Potentials that appear are random, as are their rarities.
The final challenge of a dungeon is a boss fight. The boss that appears is random, so there’s no way of knowing which one will spawn. You must defeat the boss to finish the dungeon, which rewards you with a variety of items. These rewards include Potential Orbs, consumables, spells, and weapons.
If you wish to do so, you can instantly enter the next dungeon with increased difficulty. You can also opt to leave if you want to take a closer look at your new spoils!
As you explore dungeons, random events may occur. We have a guide on every event that can spawn, so make sure to familiarise yourself with those. These events range from shops, fishing and more.
