To make things fair, I’ll give you the top choices for the pet from each summer egg. This includes the Common Summer Pet Egg, the Rare Summer Egg, and the Paradise Egg. You can purchase all of these from the Egg Shop.
Despite being an unpopular opinion, I think the Crab is the best pet you can get from a Common Summer Egg. It has a 25% chance to hatch. When active in your garden, it will occasionally go into another player’s garden and pinch them, giving you Sheckles. The only downside is that this pet won’t do that if you play in private servers by yourself.
Now onto the Rare Summer Pet Egg! This one is tied between the Orangutan and the Seal.
The Seal has a 10% hatch chance. With this pet active, when you sell a pet, there is a 2% chance of getting that pet’s egg back. This is great if the pet is rarer, but it’s not ideal if you keep getting common eggs.
On the other hand, the Orangutan has a 15% hatch chance. If you craft an item, there is a chance that the crafting material won’t be used. If you like to craft, this is the pet for you.
The best summer egg means the best pet, and that award goes to the Mimic Octopus. With only a 1% chance of hatching, count yourself lucky if you have this pet. Every 20 minutes, the Mimic Octopus will copy an ability from another pet in your garden and do it. Essentially, you’ll have two of the same pets for a short amount of time, making it great if you already have the best pets active in your garden.
