Have you seen a Grow a Garden Meteor Shower yet? The Chicken Jockey has officially arrived in Grow a Garden, though its real name is the Chicken Zombie – find out if it’s still available by reading our other guide!
Answering all your questions about the Meteor Shower, including the special mutation and gear type.
As the Meteor Shower is an example of a weather event in Grow a Garden, it has a random chance of spawning, just like all other weather types! During the Meteor Shower, there is a chance for meteors to strike your crops every 7 seconds, which applies the Celestial mutation.
One thing to note is that the Meteor Shower event can only spawn during the Nighttime. It doesn’t matter if the Blood Moon event is active, as a Meteor Shower still has a chance to occur.
If your crops are struck, they gain the Celestial mutation. This mutation is applied to all nearby plants in the area where the meteor fell! But, you can also attract shooting stars by using the Star Caller gear – scroll down for more info on that below.
Crops with the Celestial mutation sell for 120 times the normal value. This makes it the second-highest selling value multiplier in the game, with the Disco mutation taking top place. If a crop has the Celestial mutation, it has purple and yellow sparkles!
The Star Caller is a gear type that you can use to summon shooting stars whilst the Meteor Shower weather event is active. It has a maximum of 3 uses and despawns after the third use, much like how Watering Cans disappear after 10 uses.
To obtain the Star Caller, you must wait for it to appear in the Blood Moon Shop, which spawns when the Blood Moon event is active every 3 hours. This gear type is of Legendary rarity, so it’s not always a guarantee that it’ll be in stock. If it is, it costs a total of 12 million Sheckles.
