These new meals are cooked with the new ingredients which are also introduced with the expansion. One of the new seafood-type ingredients is Mussel. Players will have to get Mussel for various expansion quests along with friendship quests for the new characters and many other cooking recipes. Mussel is one of the new seafood-type ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley exclusive to the Storybook Vale expansion. Players will have to travel to the Storybook Vale world to find the Mussel on the ground in one of its biomes. There are three biomes of Storybook Vale and the Mussel is only available in the Mythopia biome.
The Mythopia is the second/third biome that players will get to explore as they progress through the main story of expansion. During the A Land of Myths and Legends quest, players will get to unlock the Mythopia biome for 2,000 Story Magic. Once there, start looking on the ground to find Mussel. Similar to most seafood and herbs, you can easily see them appearing on the ground.
Moreover, the Mussel grows in all four areas of the Mythopia biome. So, as you make further progress and unlock new areas, you can find it appearing on the ground. All Mussels will respawn after a short time.
Mussel is a seafood-type ingredient exclusive to the Storybook Vale expansion. Players can use it in different meal recipes like Garlic Steam Mussels, Mussel Risotto, and Steamed Mussels. Moreover, players can sell it for 75 Star Coins at Goofy’s Stall or consume it to regenerate 150 Energy.
