2D Soulslike Crimson Capes Launching February 12

Featuring sword-and-sorcery adventures alongside Soulslike 2D combat that will test your mettle, Poor Locke’s Crimson Capes will launch for the PC via Steam on February 12.

As the Left Hand of the King Milon the Tempest, players will be able to guide the titular Crimson Capes as they take on missions throughout the kingdom of Amvros.

Featuring online co-op, invasions, and the ability to control any hero one wants at any time, Crimson Capes will let players perform feints, thrusts, cuts, and spinning moves with blade in hand and realistic fighting techniques in tow.

That being said, each hero in Crimson Capes also features magical abilities to combat their fighting style, including wind, thunder, flames, and darkness.

Dimitris Tsatsis, programmer at Poor Locke, said the following:

“From the very beginning, Crimson Capes was built around deliberate combat that rewards initiative, precision and quick thinking.

We wanted to bring the tension, discipline, and satisfaction of the Souls experience into 2D, by rethinking how the level design, vibe and multiplayer interactions work in a side-scrolling space.”

In the interim, one can wishlist Crimson Capes via its official Steam page and also check out its official website.
