The Heartopia Aurora is a bit of a mystery, but with it being a new type of weather in the game, it’s no surprise. There are various other weather events in Heartopia, which you may have already taken part in, including the Rainbow Event.
The Aurora weather event is Heartopia’s version of the famous Aurora Borealis. It’s a super rare weather event, much like the Rainbow event and the Meteor Shower. How does the Aurora differ from these events, though?
I was pretty confused when I logged in to see the Aurora Borealis in the sky, but as pretty as it is, what purpose does it serve in the game?
Sadly not. I, too, was searching around for Doris once I spotted the Aurora, but to no avail. Unfortunately, the Aurora weather event doesn’t have an exclusive shop, so Doris won’t spawn. It would be cool to see a bunch of items inspired by the Aurora Borealis, though! Maybe in the future, perhaps?

From the looks of it, and from my own experience, the Aurora weather event in Heartopia is purely there for photo opportunities. It looks pretty, I will admit, but I’m a little disappointed that there isn’t any exclusivity to it.
Yes, it’s fun to get a few cool photos either by yourself or with friends, with the Aurora making for a lovely backdrop, but that’s all it is.
While there’s no way to know for sure when the Aurora will spawn, it looks like the official social accounts for Heartopia make a post beforehand. This post details the server time at which the Aurora will appear, and on which date.
It’s unknown if they’ll do this every time the Aurora Borealis occurs, but since it’s a new weather event, they made sure to let players know in advance.
Once I find out, I’ll include it here. I plan to keep an eye on all social media accounts for the game, so as soon as it’s announced, I’ll note down all details in this section.
