Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land Postgame Dev Vlog Released

    A whimsical, family-friendly 8-bit adventure, the final Dev Vlog for Exquisite Laundry Pet and Mega Cat Studios’ 8-bit adventure Gumball in Trick-Or-Treat Land puts the spotlight on its story beats and postgame treats.

    Featuring solo developer Adam Lewis Graf, this new video for Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land breaks down the third and final act of this JRPG. 

    Available for viewing below, Adam Lewis Graf discusses how he utilized familiar RPG tropes and “MacGuffins” alongside a more open-ended, character-driven structure.

    Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land Dev Vlog #5: The Long Road to Release


    Adam Lewis Graf said the following:

    “I’m so excited for the release of Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land!

    It’s a surreal and scary thing getting ready to have your work out in the world. 

    I’m still shocked and inspired that there are so many people out there who love physical media and seem to be as excited about Game Boy Color era RPG vibes as I am.”

    Adam Lewis Graf continued: 

    “I really hope this design delivers some much-needed comfort food to retro RPG fanatics, and I hope it can bring in some newcomers to the genre as well. 

    If this release gives anyone a reason to dust off a beloved handheld device that they haven’t touched in years, I will be a happy person.”
