Gardening is one of the initial hobbies that players unlock during the tutorial in Heartopia. It allows players to grow various crops and flowers. Players can use the crops as ingredients to cook various meals, and flowers work as an aspect of decoration and personalization for the player’s house. Tending to either crops or flowers grants you XP towards the Gardening hobby, which is essential to unlocking other crops and flowers. In this guide, we will tell you all flowers and crops available in Heartopia.
As Blanc introduces you to the Gardening Hobby, he will give you the Watering Can and initial plots. You will be using the plots to grow the crops, as their seeds cannot grow on bare soil. So, first things first, lay out the plots in your garden. Once done, equip the seeds from your inventory and start planting them. After planting the seeds, equip the watering can to water the seeds.
NOTE: The crops can grow without water, but watering helps increase the quality of the crops.
Additionally, you can purchase several seeds from Blanc, along with Fertilizer and Growth Booster. The fertilizer enhances the quality of the harvest, while the growth booster reduces the growth time of the crops.
Once you unlock the Flower Seeds in Blanc, you can grow flowers in your garden. The process of growing flowers is a bit different from growing crops. Unlike crops, you cannot grow flowers in the plots; you must plant them on bare soil. Equip the flower seeds from your inventory and plant them. Once planted, water them to improve quality. It is also best to plant different colors of flowers close to each other, as this helps with crossbreeding and generates new colors.
There are 13 crops available to grow in Heartopia. You will start with 2 crops, and as you level up in gardening, more crop seeds will become available at Blanc.
