Chelsea Confirm Rosenior as New Boss

Chelsea didn’t waste any time replacing Enzo Maresca, announcing his successor just days after the Italian tactician’s departure. The Blues confirmed Liam Rosenior as their new head coach on Tuesday.

Chelsea Appoints Rosenior as New Head Coach
After Enzo Maresca left on January 1, Chelsea’s management quickly secured a replacement. Just five days later, the club appointed Liam Rosenior on a long-term contract running until 2032.

Many media outlets and transfer experts had anticipated Rosenior’s appointment. The former midfielder arrives from Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg, which helped smooth the transition.

Club officials praised Rosenior’s work in Ligue 1 and see his leadership as a strong fit for their long-term vision. Although he remains early in his coaching career, he has shown enough promise to earn the board’s trust.

Rosenior Eager to Begin Chelsea Journey
Chelsea announced the appointment on their official website and included a statement from the new head coach. Rosenior shared his pride and excitement about taking on the role.

“I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club,” Rosenior said. “I cannot wait to meet you all and get started.”

The 41-year-old will definitely face a tough challenge, especially since he hasn’t had any experience managing teams in the Premier League before. Moreover, the expectation will be high at Chelsea as they are targeting at least a top-four finish.
