These 7 useful products were the GOLF staff's favorites of 2025
One of the perks of working in the golf media space is having the chance to check out a range of new and interesting products and then share our learnings with our readers.
GOLF’s weekly I Tried It column aims to provide you with our unfiltered takes on a product we’ve recently taken out for a spin. Our editorial staff is always game to test the latest and greatest iterations of bags, shoes, clubs, accessories and more. Like you, we love the game and strive to play as often as we can, so when a product really hits the mark, we’re eager to shout it from the rooftops.
This past year was full of a number of new and worthy products, but our staff was recently tasked with coming up with a single recommended favorite to share with the masses. Below, you can browse through our picks, which range all the way from training aids and comfortable and functional outerwear to sunglasses, a great bag for walkers and even premium boxer briefs, recommended by an writer who is a self-professed underwear snob.
You can read the full reviews on these products by clicking the highlighted links below — and if you see something you like, you can even buy each item for yourself. Because if there’s one thing we wish for you as we embark upon this new year in golf, it’s to experience the same joy and satisfaction that these items have given us. Happy browsing!
A killer rain jacket
I’ve worn it on real courses, in real rain. I’ve had what the kids call “lived experiences” in the jacket, and I’ve liked it. A lot. Whether I would have bought it for myself is a hypothetical I’m happy to have to answer. What I know is that now that I own it, I’m far less bothered when the sunny forecast is wrong. KJUS Pro 3L 2.0
Experience rain protection like never before with this fully stretch waterproof jacket. Body-zoned X-stretch panels further enhance the flexibility while innovative rain gutters at the wrist ensure uninterrupted play in wet conditions. Ideal for cool to cold days.
In the months since I’ve received them, each pair has been outstanding, and I have worn them absolutely everywhere, including the golf course. They’re super comfortable, even underneath a hat. And even though I’ve dropped them dozens of times, somehow, I have yet to find a scratch. And the best part? They’re available at a price that doesn’t make them feel too precious. For the price of one “designer” pair, you can get a half-dozen or more cool styles from WMP Eyewear. Read Jessica Marksbury’s full review here.
WMP Eyewear Stormi
Blends vintage nostalgia and modern aesthetics with its sleek, square shape and subtle cat eye corners.
Everywhere I’ve taken it, I’ve gotten compliments and many people were surprised to learn it was a Sun Mountain bag. I’ve used Sun Mountain bags for many years and now, but it seems the company is really trying to launch itself into the premium bag space and it’s doing very well at it. I’ve tried my fair share of golf training aids over the years, and while some have been total flops, there was one this year that became my best purchase of 2025: the Short Game Gains Trigon Toolkit. This simple yet effective tool has completely transformed my approach to putting, and here’s why it became a go-to in my game this season. Read Maddi MacClurg’s full review here.
I’m no swing expert, but I have had enough lessons to know my path isn’t perfect and can get too inside-out. The Divot Board provides instant feedback so you can make adjustments on the fly. That way when you practice, you practice the right way. That’s the whole key to practice! Read Josh Berhow’s full review here.
Divot Board
The Divot Board is a revolutionary golf training aid that gives golfers instant feedback on every swing. By showing exactly where your club contacts the ground, the Divot Board makes it easy to spot errors and correct them on the spot. Whether you’re practicing indoors or outdoors, this tool helps you improve ball striking, swing path, and low-point control. With consistent use, the Divot Board builds muscle memory so you can strike the ball cleaner, hit straighter shots, and lower your scores.
Instant Feedback for Faster LearningResearch shows that immediate feedback can accelerate learning by 50–70%. The Divot Board provides real-time feedback on your swing so you can make quick adjustments and refine your technique instantly.
Improve ConsistencyDid you know 70–80% of golfers struggle with inconsistent contact? The Divot Board reveals exactly where your club struck the surface, helping you identify flaws and build a repeatable, reliable swing.
Train AnywhereCompact and portable, the Divot Board can be used at home, on the driving range, or even in the office. Its high-quality construction ensures durability through countless practice sessions. Proudly designed and assembled in the USA.
Using a Divot Board consistently will transform your practice routine. It’s the easiest way to gain awareness, develop better ball striking, and see results faster.
It does not bring me joy to report to you that I regularly endeavor to purchase undergarments with sky-high price tags. It does not bring me joy to tell you I know all about the latest and greatest in sock-and-underwear technology. But it is unavoidably true, and on Christmas this year, socks and underwear are what brought a smile to my face. Read James Colgan’s full review here.
Lululemon Always In Motion Boxer Brief (5-pack)
The good stuff. These boxer briefs feature an ergonomic design and super-soft, quick-drying fabric for total comfort while working out or on the go.
This year, I’m on my third Higgins, which is just as good as the second Higgins, which is just as good as the first Higgins. In 2022, I picked up Higgins No. 1 and wore it everywhere, so I soon bought the gray one a few months later. This year, the first one’s tread started to wear down, so I ordered the blue one. But all are equal. Ever hear that a sign of a good restaurant is whether it can match — or exceed — what it did on an initial visit? Radmor has done that here.
