Discover theĀ best Demonite and Darkryte Method in The Forge, to get your hands on the current rarest Ores in the game, and learn more about why they’re so sought-after, and how best to utilise them.

Private Servers mean less competition when farming in proximity to other players. Plus, this set-up will require you to take over an entire section of the Volcanic Depths, which other players could ruin the flow of, or find greedy if you’re not sharing nodes. It avoids the hassle of this method being disrupted or you defending yourself against a mob of annoyed strangers.

Using a Private Server, head into the Volcanic Depths and enter the back right of the room, near the large lava pool. First, break all of the Basalt Cores until they respawn as Volcanic Rocks. (Necessary, as these are the only rock types to drop both Ores.)
Next, lure the mobs that are near the lava pool into it. This causes them to get stuck, so that they cannot attack you. They also won’t respawn, giving you a clear area with no enemies. The area you choose should be in proximity to the lava pool so that they don’t force respawn, as well as near three Volcanic Rock nodes.

Once set up, use your Potions to enhance your Luck, alongside triggering any other Luck buffs you have available. If you consume several Potions at once, their timers will stack, so this is the most efficient way if you plan on mining for long periods.
Start mining the Volcanic Rock. When the rock is at 1,200 HP remaining, check the possible drops. If no Demonite or Darkryte, move onto the next node that you’ve set up nearby. Continue this cycle, and then move on to the third rock. After visiting the third node, your first Volcanic Rock should have respawned with new Ores inside.
Repeat this until you find a Demonite or Darkryte inside one of the Volcanic Rocks in your farming area.
Both Ores are sought-after due to their insanely high multipliers, making them powerful choices when forging new Weapons and Armour. Despite their Traits being tailored for Armour, a lot of players still use both Ores in Weapons as they forge into naturally serious damage before Enhancements.
They’re also necessary for filling in the Ore index, and the Demonite is required for the Skal questline to unlock the Demonite Pickaxe cave.
