At this current time, there is no way to obtain Legendary Essence in The Forge. This could be a new type of Essence that is going to be added to the game in the next major update, which is set for December 25th, with the addition of a brand new location.
Now, we can at least speculate, right? Our first guess is that Legendary Essence will be a drop from enemies in the upcoming location. However, there’s a chance that some of the more difficult enemies in the Volcanic Depths may drop Legendary Essence, too. As we know, bosses are coming to The Forge, so this new essence type may be a potential drop from them!
If you’ve recently tried to enhance a weapon or piece of armor, you may have noticed that Legendary Essence is a required resource for the next upgrade. Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this issue. Basically, whatever piece of equipment you’re trying to enhance right now is capped until Legendary Essence is available.
Essence is a key resource when enhancing your weapons and pieces of armor. The amount of Essence, as well as the type of Essence you have to use, depends on which Enhance level you’re upgrading to. The rarer the Essence, the better the upgrade.
Enhancing your equipment can also increase the number of Rune Slots it has! This is especially useful if the equipment initially had 0 Rune Slots or just a single one. Make sure not to waste Essence on your weaker armor and weapons. Save the resource for your strong forged items!
