How do you get the Fisch Gleebous Mutation? We go over both methods in this Fisch guide! For more on this topic, read our Fisch Glorp Quest walkthrough.
Gleep glorp mutation.
By far, the best and easiest way to catch fish with the Gleebous mutation is by using the Blade of Gorp fishing rod. But there’s another method, which is simple, but may take a while.
First, let’s go over the best method of getting the Gleebous mutation. When using the Blade of Gorp fishing rod, you have a 23% chance of catching Gleebous fish. This mutation increases the value of the catch by 8x!
While this is the easiest way of getting the Gleebous mutation, it does require you to obtain the fishing rod, which involves the completion of a few quests.
Now, it’s not clear if this is a permanent quest, but I doubt the Gleebous abundance spots are always going to be in Fisch. Once these abundance spots are no longer available, the Blade of Gorp rod will be the only way to get the mutation.
The abundance spots where you’re more likely to catch a Gleebous fish only spawn at Roslit Bay. It’s unknown as to how often these ebundances appear, though. This method is simple in theory, but getting a fish with the Gleebous mutation this way naturally is pretty rare, with a 1.48% chance.
To get the Blade of Gorp fishing rod, you need to complete Gorp’s quest. However, to unlock this quest, you have to complete Dr Crookspine’s quests, too.
After working through Dr Crookspine’s quests, you unlock the Translator, which you can use to communicate with Glorp. Once you unlock Glorp’s quest, you need to catch 15 Gleebous fish to be rewarded with the Blade of Gorp rod.
Glorp stands by a crashed UFO at Roslit Bay at the coordinates: 1521, 141, 333
He is located in the Laboratory to the North of Roslit Bay.
