How To Reroll Race

To Reroll your Race, press T to open your backpack. From here, select Shop and scroll across to Rerolls. If you press Go to Race Menu, you’ll be able to reroll here.

Alternatively, from Stonewake’s Cross, head up the small hilly incline past the Equipment Merchant and Tomo NPC, headed towards the wizard tower. Walk into the doors and speak with the Wizard NPC, who will also trigger the Race Reroll menu.

How To Dodge Attacks

Rolling could also mean dodging, a fun mechanic that I don’t often see players utilise. On PC, pressing Q triggers a quick forward roll. This allows you to move out of the way of incoming attacks from mobs within the caves.

You’ll also sometimes see mobs dodge to avoid your attacks. I believe this mechanic begins in the Forgotten Kingdom Caves, as I’ve had countless Skeleton Rogue encounters and seen them roll around to dodge my blade.

• Q: Is dodging important?
  • Yes! When an enemy strikes, you have a small window to dodge to completely negate damage. If an enemy strikes you enough times, you’ll temporarily become stunned, or worse, gain a status effect depending on their weapon, allowing them to deal more damage.
  • Dodging also helps you slip away if you’re on low HP and need to escape your encounter.
• Q: Is the dodging key the same as a dash?
  • A: Unfortunately, no. Some games combine their dodge and dash, but The Forge hasn’t, so you won’t traverse any quicker by rolling around.
