Pokémon GO Introducing Remote Trades Through New “Forever Friends” Level

Setting out to level up Pokémon GO friendships, Niantic has announced a new “Forever Friends” friendship level alongside Remote Trades.

Forever Friends in Pokémon GO serves as a higher Friendship level above Best Friends, offering additional rewards and XP. This system will also allow players to earn Friendship Points as they work toward Remote Trades.

From there, Trainers will be able to earn points by battling together, trading, sending Gifts, and completing weekly challenges.

Once Trainers are rewarded with a Remote Trade, they’ll be able to trade Pokémon with their Forever Friend from anywhere.

Players will mark Pokémon to trade with their Forever Friends using a special Remote Trade tag, and each Trainer can then select up to three Pokémon from the other Trainer’s list to create a “wish list”.

From there, after reviewing the proposed exchange, either Trainer is able to confirm, cancel or restart the trade.

Currently seeing a phased rollout, one can catch up on all the finer details via the official blog post.
