Grappling Platformer Gooey Coming to Steam January 21

A fast, physics-driven title inspired by platforming greats like Celeste, Super Meat Boy, and Mario Maker, Turbo Pixel Studios’ grappling platformer Gooey is set to release on Steam next month, on January 21.

Tasking players with swinging, squishing, and slingshotting through different physics-driven platforming challenges, Gooey prides itself on its momentum-based levels.

A built-in level editor with robust Steam Workshop support is also present and accounted for in Gooey!

For science, of course.

Gooey Release Announcement

Ben Darling, Turbo Pixel Studios Co-Founder, said the following:

“Though he may appear tiny, Gooey embodies our passion for retro pixel platforming classics come to life, so we assure he is mighty as well.

For years we’ve wanted to deliver a high-quality 2.5D indie platformer to stand alongside other platforming greats, so we can’t wait for everyone to meet Gooey on Jan. 21, and try out players’ custom creations from the level editor!”

In the interim, one can wishlist Gooey via its official Steam page.
