Bakumatsu Period Unveiled for Dark Fantasy Action RPG Nioh 3

In addition to the Edo, Sengoku, and Heian periods, Team NINJA and Koei Tecmo’s Nioh 3 will also transport players to the Bakumatsu Period.

Serving as the final era of the samurai, Nioh 3’s Bakumatsu Period will transport players to 1800s Kyoto. As players expereince conic landmarks like the Kiyomizu and Honnoji temples, they’ll come to find that they have been overtaken and transformed by the Crucible’s influence. 

Nioh 3 will also pit players against the Shinsengumi – a military squad that serves the shogunate. These troops will prove to be challenging foes, equipped with modern weaponry like firearms and gatling guns that unleash both ranged and multi-directional attacks.
