There are five ways of getting the Darkened mutation in Fisch. The first is by using the Duskwire Rod, taking part in a Blackout event, using the Noir enchantment, appraising, or at random while fishing.
With the Duskwire Rod, you have a 68% chance of catching fish with the Darkened mutation, thanks to one of its passive abilities. To get this fishing rod, you need to go to the Underground Music Venue.
Pick up the quest from Hollow and complete it to earn the Duskwire Rod as a reward. This quest is easy enough, as you just need to catch a Catfish and bring it back to Hollow, as well as pay 7,500,000 in-game coins.
Only admins can spawn the Blackout event. It lasts 60 seconds, and there is no way to predict when the next Blackout event will be. When active, this event grants you a 25% chance of catching Darkened fish.
The Noir enchantment is obtainable at random, like the majority of others. You can use a regular Enchant Stone to be in with a chance of enchanting your fishing rod with the Noise enchant. It grants a 50% chance of getting Darkened fish, making it the second-best option for this mutation.
There’s a 1.09% chance of getting a Darkened fish simply by fishing in any location. You have an even lower chance when appraising a fish, as there is a 0.9% chance for the fish to get the Darkened mutation.
