Eager for a new game to play with your buddies? Want to take questionable substances and fight security? S.E.M.I (Short for Side Effects May Include) is a co-op game made for the kind of people that don’t want to take their gaming sessions with friends too seriously. 

You play a group of patients in a… special facility. One that had guards and straitjackets, but quite a few moving platforms and switches, too. You want to get out. The staff don’t think you should get out. 

But you have a will to try, several similarly determined, if potentially incompetent friends, and various questionable pills. Let the games begin. 

Escape The Men In White Coats

So what is the core gameplay of S.E.M.I? Well, you and your friends try to find a way out of the clinic, by any means necessary. That won’t be easy, though. 

There are guards, there are traps, and there are puzzles that you may need to work as a team to solve.

Drugs Are Bad/Good

There are also experimental pills, which might be a good thing or a bad thing. These can give you special powers, but also have their own potential downsides. Alice Syndrome can make you huge, or tiny. Laser Astigmatism lets you shoot… but with two sights, and you will only hit one of them. 

It gets pretty chaotic pretty quickly, and even more chaotic when you add friends who want to watch the world burn… which is most people playing this kind of game, let’s be honest.
