Enter the Matrix… the Weather… Matrix. Doesn’t have the same ring to it, right?
The Weather Matrix is an item that grants you the ability to spawn any type of weather in Fisch. Well, apart from the Tornado weather event, which was removed on October 27th. However, the weather event that spawns is random each time you use the Weather Matrix item.
Between uses, you have to wait 60 minutes for the cooldown to end. This is because constantly being able to change the current weather event would make you quite overpowered, and would undoubtedly annoy other players on the server.
To obtain the Weather Matrix item, you need to complete quests from the Angler. A recent update reworked the quests you can pick up from this NPC and added a few new rewards, including the Weather Matrix.
Each time you complete a quest from the Angler, you have around a 0.72% chance of getting it, making it a super-rare item. Angler quests aren’t usually too difficult, and you may even have some of the requested fish in your inventory right now, but you’re going to have to complete quite a few of them in hopes that the Weather Matrix drops.
On average, players must complete over 100 Angler quests for the Weather Matrix to appear, though it can drop at any time. Once a player completes over 75 Angler quests, there’s a higher chance for the NPC to request rarer fish, such as those of the Secret and Exotic rarities.
