The only way to get the Necrotic rod is by crafting! But what’s the crafting recipe? First, you need to know where the Anvil is, which is located within the Ancient Archives. When interacting with the Anvil, you can access the crafting recipe for the Necrotic rod, which is:
To get the Fischfright Skulls, you need to look out for Frightful Pools. There are different types of Frightful Pools, all of which feature a different colour. For the Red Frightful Skull, you need to fish in the Red Frightful Pools. When fishing in this pool, you have a 0.29% chance of catching the skull. Each Frightful Pool lasts around 10 minutes!
Now, to get Bones, you must fish in the Brine Pool within the Desolate Deep. You can obtain Bones by either fishing in the waters or by using Crab Cages. It has a higher chance of appearing if you use a Magnet as bait.
However, you need the Bones to have the Sanguine mutation. The easiest way of getting this mutation is by using the Sanguine Spire fishing rod. This rod grants a 30% chance of catches getting the mutation. There’s also the Blood Reckoning Enchantment, which has a chance equal to your current HP.
The Sanguine Spire rod is purchasable from the Underground Music Venue for 10 million in-game coins, but the Corruption admin event must be active.
To get the Skeletal Nessie, you must fish in Nessie’s Catacomb. It prefers the Autumn season, and you have a higher chance of catching one if you use the Gummy Fish as bait. There’s another way of getting the Skeletal Nessie, which is a little more complicated.
This method involves catching a Baby Nessie and all Fischfright Skulls (Green, Purple, Red, Orange, and Blue. When it’s nighttime, head to the Cemetery to find the Nessie Statue. Enter the secret base and place all five skulls on the statues.

When using the Necrotic rod in Fisch, the Control stat is reduced by 10% every 2 seconds, but increases the Progress Speed by 10%. The Necrotic rod has a permanent +10 boost to its Resilience stat.
