Things are getting hot! The Infernal Sword is the second flame-based weapon, with the Flamethrower being the other.
Despite popular belief, this isn’t the best weapon in the game, in my opinion anyway. The Infernal Sword is only good for close-ranged attacks, which is the same for the other melee weapons. Therefore, you’ll need to get close to the enemy if you want to deal damage. Weapons such as the Ray Gun allow you to attack from a distance, making it harder for opponents to attack you.
However, there is one great thing the Infernal Sword offers. When you use it to attack, it instantly sets the enemy on fire. This deals damage over time, so it’s a solid option for dealing a lot of damage quickly.
It’s also great for killing the Bear, Wolves, and Bunny, because when they drop meat, it will be cooked immediately. This saves bringing the meat to a crockpot or campfire.
The only way to get your hands on the Infernal Sword is by sacrificing Cultists into the Volcano, as you get it as a reward. The Volcano is located in the Volcano Biome. At the moment, this is the current event, but after the event ends, it has a random chance to appear.
Leading up to the Volcano is a sign that says “The Volcano is Hungry.” Stand at the edge of the platform and hold out your sack, then drop the Cultists inside. Once done, walk to the altar behind the platform, and rewards will appear in the middle.
