Type Soul Vow of Sway

Another Vow! But is it better than the others?

What is the Vow of Sway?

When you have the Vow of Sway, if you perform a successful Perfect Dodge and/or Parry, a bar fills up for each one. After a guard break, and the bar is at 100%, an animation begins. This animation showcases your character kicking the enemy away as you dodge them.

This Vow has a cooldown of 120 seconds (or 2 minutes); however, you cannot use the Vow of Sway if your character is an Ancient Vasto.

My main issue with the Vow of Sway is that it relies on successfully performing Parries and Perfect Dodges in combat. While some players do not struggle with this, it takes some practice to get used to it. Perfect Dodging and Parrying requires you to get the timing right, which can be especially tough in PvP battles.

How to Get the Vow of Sway

While you can obtain some Vows from Clan Wars and Ranked Matches, there is a sole way of getting any type of Vow, including the Vow of Sway.

By progressing through Hell and reaching Ring 3, you unlock access to the Maze. Yes, the same Maze which features the annoying and strange creature that appears on your screen as you try to find the exit. An NPC called the Bamboo Hat Man stands within this Maze, whom you must speak to.

Upon speaking to him, you engage in a battle against him, and if you win, you get a random Vow as a reward. This means there is no guarantee of obtaining the Vow of Sway, as there are six obtainable Vows as of right now.
