Schedule 1’s new Cartel update is now live, bringing a new set of events to the story. This new update will let players meet with the Benzies’ family, the same cartel group that blows up the RV at the start of the game. Players will now have the opportunity to meet with the Cartel as they make more customers around Hyland Point. Moreover, they can agree to work for the cartel or refuse their deal, allowing players to pursue different routes for their journey. In this guide, we will tell you how to meet with the cartel in Schedule 1.
Meeting with the Benzies’ family requires players to unlock the Westville region and make a few customers in the region. If you are a new player, it will take you a few hours to reach this point. If you are a returning player and have a good reputation in Westville, then all you have to do is sleep, and you will receive a message from Thomas Benzies. Open the phone to read the message, which will include the information about a meetup spot.
Now, go to the parking lot of Taco Ticklers to see a black car waiting for you. Go to the car window to meet with Thomas Benzies. He will propose a business deal to you to work for them and give half of your earnings to them. Moreover, he will tell you not to expand the business out of Westville. Means you cannot sell the product in the Downtown, Docks, etc. He will also mention the consequences of refusing the proposal, including stealing the product, cash, or both. Now, it will be on you whether you want to make the Benzies family a friend or hostile.
If you agree to the deal, the benzies will message you for a weekly product requirement. You have to fulfill the requirement and deliver the product to the mailbox of Hyland Manor. Upon delivering the product, you will be able to pick up the cash from the same mailbox. However, you will only receive half of your profit due to the deal.
If you disagree with the deal, Benzies will instantly become enemies. Thomas Benzies will send out his men to rob the product and cash from you and your dealers. You will receive messages from your dealers about these incidents often. It will certainly make the daily chores difficult, but if you manage to push through it and gain a reputation in other regions, you will unlock the “Finishing the Job” mission. It is the main mission that you have to pursue to get rid of the Benzies’ family for good.
NOTE: If you have agreed to the deal and don’t want to continue working for the Benzies’ family, you can message Thomas Benzies. Open Thomas Benzies’ messages and select the “Send a message” prompt. It will give you the option to stop working for them. Select the option and agree to the confirmation. It will turn the status of Benzies’ family from friendly to hostile.
It is a great addition to the story and overall gameplay. You can choose how you want to pursue your journey, especially in the mid to end-game period.
