Motoi Sakuraba noted:

“I have composed music for games in other Asian countries and Europe.

I want to compose as many songs as possible for those who need my music, regardless of their country. I am happy if my music can be useful for games.

This is my philosophy, whether it is for indie game makers or major game makers.

I am looking forward to meeting many new people through my work with Scarlet Moon.

I am eagerly looking forward to creating music for the Scarlet Moon project! Thank you for your consideration!”

Scarlet Moon founder Jayson Napolitano reflects the following:

“Some of my favorite game music ever has been written by Motoi Sakuraba.

In fact, one of the first birthday gifts my partner ever gave me was an imported DVD of one of his Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile concert performances that I desperately wanted!

I have so many fond memories enjoying his work and sharing it with others.

It’s always been a dream to bring his signature sound to developers outside of Japan, and I am so thankful to Sakuraba-san for placing his trust in his to make this happen.”
