The Blood Moon event adds a new boss, new items, and lots of rewards!
The Blood Moon server event spawns every 4 hours in-game. It’s like a Weather Event, in the sense that it only lasts for a few minutes.
While the event is active, you have a 20% chance of getting items that have the Clawed modifier, which increases the selling value of said items by 1.5x. There is also a 1% chance of obtaining the Dire Claws charm when you dig during the event.
The Skeleton Merchant is an NPC that only appears when the Blood Moon event is active. They appear at Fox Town, and the only item they sell is the Blood Moon Chests. This costs 700 in-game coins and contains random Blood Moon items that can only be obtained via the crate.
The Blood Moon Journal page is only available for a limited time, so it’s best to try to obtain all items before the event ends! When you complete the Blood Moon Journal page, you unlock the Evil Title, the Demonforge Skin Cosmetic for the Fanged Shovel, and the Pebble Foe Charm.
You can obtain these items at random when opening a Blood Moon Chest. There is no guarantee which item you’ll get.
What can you get during the Blood Moon event?
The Dire Wolf boss appears in the Cinder Cavern when the Blood Moon event is active. We have a full guide on the Dire Wolf, including the items that can potentially drop once you defeat it.
I recommended fighting against this boss with other players, and with how active servers are, there are bound to be multiple people with you as you approach the Dire Wolf.
