Starting the Cheer Up quest will require the player to reach Friendship Level 4 with Jina and complete the Open the Door quest. Upon reaching Level 4 and completing the prerequisite quest, you will receive a letter from Hekla. After reading the letter, go to Jina and speak with her.
After speaking with Jina, you need to find something to cheer her up. Go to Hekla and ask if she knows how to cheer up Jina. She will mention that Jina likes mushrooms. Moreover, she will give you the recipe for the Cream of Mushroom Soup meal.

After exploring three different ruin sites, go back to Jina and speak with her. Go through the dialogues to give her inspiration for her thesis, and the quest will conclude.
