The Grow a Garden Firefly is one of, if not the rarest, pet in the entire game, with only a handful of players having it in their inventory. But can you still get it? You could potentially try trading for one, but before you do, make sure to read up on the Pet Trading Values in Grow a Garden.
Admittedly, I’m guilty of confusing this pet with the Dragonfly. The Firefly pet is one of the rarest pets in the game, despite being of the Mythical rarity and not Divine!
The Firefly pet falls under the category of unobtainable pets. Much like those obtained via taking part in events or the lead up to a new event, the Firefly was only available for players who joined test servers back when the game was fairly new. Unfortunately, the chances of this pet coming back are extremely slim.
As for what the Firefly pet does, it has a 3.07% chance of applying the Shocked mutation to nearby plants every 79 seconds. The Shocked mutation is one of the best ones you can get that isn’t exclusive to a limited-time event or pet.
If a crop has the Shocked mutation, its selling value increases by 100x. Of course, this can increase even more if the crop has multiple mutations at once. Still, the low 3.07% chance of this mutation occurring is pretty low.
At this point, it’s merely a flex to say you have it, as it means you were playing the game right back at the start. Though trading exists, so if someone is willing to give theirs up, you could still get one!
