If you want to share some of your Grow a Garden crops, you’ll need to know how to trade in Grow a Garden. To ensure you don’t give away your best items, it’s worth finding out how to favorite items in Grow a Garden.
At the moment, players can only gift crops or pets. Therefore, you can’t hand over seeds, unhatched eggs, or gear. We aren’t sure if this will change in an upcoming update.
This is the only form of ‘trading’ that is available right now, which isn’t really trading. It’s simply gifting another player, but you get nothing in exchange. Usually, trading is two people swapping items that are worth around the same value.
However! The Grow a Garden Discord server has a channel called ‘Looking For’. Here, players can send a message explaining what they’re looking for (seeds or hatched pets). You might get lucky and find someone willing to give it to you. Either as a gift, or they may even give you something in return.
At the time of writing this, gifting someone is only one way, so the other person isn’t expected to give you anything in return. Always be careful when trading! Someone may promise to give you something, and once you hand them something and it’s their turn to gift back, they may quit the game and disappear.
Trading is a popular feature in games, and ensuring two people swap items is a way to keep things fair and friendly instead of one person simply giving you something.
