If you’re looking to channel the same stroke Xander Schauffele used to win two majors last season, you’re about to be in luck.
Odyssey is launching the Red Seven X putter, based on the design of Schauffele’s Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas Prototype putter, which he’s used over the last few years, including to win the PGA and Open Championships last season.
Schauffele prefers the red color as it makes him feel as if he will hit a good putt each time. He previously went back and forth between red and silver versions of Odyessy’s No. 7/Toulon’s Las Vegas shape.
He also prefers the black painted face to give him a visual contrast that makes it easier to line up. This is to mimic the same visual look as when Schauffele used the No. 7 shape with a White Hot insert. The red paint slightly cheats over the face to reduce the impact any chipping or other wear marks could have on the topline.
The Odyssey Red Seven X has the exact same color scheme, as well as the Deep Diamond Groove milling pattern that Schauffele prefers to give him a pure roll off the face. Additionally, the putter will also come standard with a black stepless steel shaft and an Odyssey Super Stroke Pistol 2.0 Grip, both the same as Schauffele’s spec.
