Fisch Wicked Fang Rod – Worth the Requirements?

The Fisch Wicked Fang Rod has a few requirements that might put off some players. Never been to the Crimson Cavern in Fisch? We’ve got a Fisch Crimson Cavern Bestiary guide that goes over all of the fish you can catch in the location.

Fisch Wicked Fang Rod

Is it wickedly good?

How to Get the Wicked Fang Rod in Fisch

The Wicked Fang Rod resides in the Crimson Cavern. However, it only appears when an Eclipse server event is ongoing. During an Eclipse, head to the Crimson Cavern in the Luminescent Cavern to purchase the fishing rod for 2,900,000 in-game coins.

The thing is, you can only access the Crimson Cavern by collecting a Colossal Blue Dragon with the Crimson mutation. The Colossal Blue Dragon can be obtained when fishing in the Luminescent Cavern. It’s an Exotic rarity fish, so it’s not common, but it does prefer clear weather, the seasons of Spring and Summer, and Shark Head bait.

As for the Crimson mutation, there’s a 0.11% chance of getting it via the Appraiser, but you also have a 30% chance of catching a fish with the mutation when using the Scarlet Spinecaster Rod.

When Does the Eclipse Event Spawn?

The Eclipse event has a 4.7% chance of activating, or can be guaranteed if a player uses an Eclipse Totem. Eclipses can only occur during the daytime! To get the Eclipse Totem, you must visit Ancient Isle to purchase it for 250K in-game coins.

The Wicked Fang Rod isn’t the only item that becomes available when the Eclipse event is active. The Solar Fragment is also obtainable from Ancient Isles, and there’s a 10% chance for fish to have the Solarblaze mutation. It also opens the Ancient Isles and activates the passive ability of the Fang of the Eclipse fishing rod.
