2D Platformer Love Letter Sir Noggin Now Available

A charming Mega Drive-inspired 2D platformer, Sinclair Strange and Scarlet Moon Games’ Sir Noggin is now available.

Featuring 20 action-packed stages across seven unique zones, Sir Noggin is inspired by all-time classics like Wonder Boy 3, Castle of Illusion, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

As players venture forth in Sir Noggin, they’ll encounter mighty power ups, cute (but evil!) enemies, and colorful (but powerful!) bosses.

Scarlet Moon’s Jayson Napolitano noted the following:

“We’re excited to get Sir Noggin into the hands of the many fans we’ve heard from since announcing the game on social media.

We’ve been huge fans of Sinclair Strange’s works since we started Scarlet Moon back in 2013, so it’s a real honor to come full circle and collaborate together on Scarlet Moon Games’s debut title.”

Developer Sinclair Strange also commented:

“I fancied making a game that was visually outside my usual norm of that grungy NES 8-bit vibe and decided to take inspiration from those classic Master System/Game Gear titles.

Originally the main character was a small explorer with a whip, but it didn’t quite mesh well with the background art and lacked personality.

I decided then to redesign the main character into Sir Noggin, a knight with a big head and an even bigger sword.

Hopefully with the cute visual looks, the nostalgic gameplay, and the amazing music, people will enjoy this little vintage romp.”

One can purchase Sir Noggin via its official Steam page.

One can also listen in to Sir Noggin’s chiptune score by Scarlet Moon composer coda (Read Only Memories: Neurodiver) on the streaming or music platform of their choosing!
